A Working Title
Right on the heels of self-publishing, Spiral Bound, I have completed the first draft of my next novella. I have a working title of "Who’s Ghosting Who?" or "WGW" as it is about ghosting in a friendship relationship. I usually give a piece a working title, knowing that I can always change it later, because seeing "Untiled" makes me feel uncommitted to the work. In “WGW,” I write from a somewhat personal perspective because I have had the unfortunate experience of a close friend cutting off ties in our relationship without explanation or closure. If you have had this happen, you know how awful it is, leaving you wondering what the hell you did wrong. There are a couple of the same characters in the new book that appeared in Spiral Bound. And as I begin to ponder my next book, I believe I will be "showcasing" at least one character from "WGW." As our lives are so intertwined with others, with often only a few degrees of separation, I find it interesting and fun to weave characters into and out of my stories. “WGW” isn’t likely to stay, but it is sticking for now. And that is my current commitment.
