Wednesday Night Book Club

Another existing first for me. I was the guest speaker and author at my sister-in-law's book club Wednesday night. The attendees, cousins of Carole, were gracious and made me feel seen and heard. When looking for a poem to share for today’s post, I came across this one, which was originally titled Invisibility. With Carole and her cousin’s support, I changed it to Vulnerability & Visibility.

In my vibrant brush strokes, making up new moments

Through the window and

into my mind, spinning & processing

into my heart, rhythmically pumping

my gut, mulling it all over.

I shine my true self.
